HUMANISTS
What's new on website and for
Farnham Humanists
The book is quite short and very readable. 'De Mello, was a Jesuit priest (died 1987). He was far from toeing any party line (try Googling 'de Mello Ratzinger') to get some idea of the Vatican's distancing from him). He gives short shrift to religiosity but is much more concerned with getting down to brass tacks of human character and reason at a level more fundamental than specifics of He works instead by using stories and jokes from many religions and none to achieve a lively perspective on what being human means.'(Sid) '..unfolding his thoughts on spirituality, with an emphasis on understanding the inner self and not anchored to a main stream religion' (Tony)
